A student led project from Valparaiso University, this whiskey honors a vision to sustain a Lutheran legacy, inspired by President O.P. Kretzmann’s belief in keeping the dream alive through faith and character. Created by juniors and seniors in Valparaiso University’s capstone marketing and entrepreneurship course, Old Gold is the first Valparaiso University-branded whiskey. Developed in partnership with Journeyman Distillery, the project blends tradition and innovation to celebrate Valpo’s rich history and distinctive campus community.
